I have the 3.0 on my iPhone 3g and it seems very slow. I notice this when I turn my phone onto landscape mode in messages and mail. It takes over 10 seconds to switch over! Facebook app doen't show any pictures, even thumbnails. Sometimes sound just dissapears. After restart goes back normal. I have the same keyboard issue as You do :)
